Mr Ashley Cooper

Ashley is a retired company director having worked in both civil engineering and waste management and recycling industries for more than 45 years. He has been married for 41 years and has two married children and currently two grandchildren. Throughout his career, Ashley has spent a great deal of time training people and building teams. He has taken great pride in being involved in the personal and professional development of young people. He has also placed great emphasis in actively supporting his own children during their education to instil strong values and to fully benefit from a sound education. He is proud to share that they have become successful individuals in their own right.

Ashley’s personal interests include environmental management, paediatric care and sport. He enjoys socialising, entertaining and travelling. His charitable interests include Dr Barnados and the Great North Children’s Hospital Bubble Foundation.

Although retired from full time employment, he remains very active and works part time as a self-employed trainer and assessor for a range of qualifications associated with the environmental sector. Consequently, he maintains a strong interest in education and training and he is able to pass on many years of experience to young learners. Also having worked in business at a significant level, he has years of management experience which he can offer the schools management team whether it be financial, personnel or management oversight.
